As a first-time mother living and working in Greenpoint, I quickly realized there was no local place to have my child properly fitted for shoes without traveling quite a bit outside the neighborhood. Like many parents, I knew how important a well-fitted “first walker” shoe is, but I had no idea where to begin. Online options were overwhelming, sizing was confusing, and ordering multiple pairs just to find the right fit felt costly and wasteful.
That gap inspired an idea: bring a children’s shoe store to Greenpoint. And while I was at it, why not offer a thoughtfully curated selection of educational, sustainable toys?
Giggles & Wiggles was created to do exactly that—a neighborhood shop, owned and run by a local mother, designed to meet the everyday needs of our parent & child community.
